Hey y'all, I'm Dina Deason.
I'm an artist, a lover of beautiful homes, and the creator of Artful Living with Dina. My husband and I make our home on St. Simons Island, Georgia, a place that brings us so much joy and inspires so much of what I do.
I believe a home should be the truest reflection of who you are, filled with the pieces and moments that tell your story. I've always been happiest with my hands in something... a brush, a table being set, a room that needed a little more warmth.
Life on
St. Simons Island
My husband and I grew up in central Georgia, where the pace was slower and the ties to family and place ran deep. Those roots still shape us, even though home is now St. Simons Island. We live on this beautiful stretch of the Georgia coast, and he loves this house the way I do - the light, the marsh, the way it holds the life we’ve built together. He is wonderful: steady, kind, and happiest when we are here, doors open, friends and family coming and going.
We have a large Labradoodle and a goldendoodle who fill the house with energy and loyalty. They follow us from kitchen to porch and make every ordinary afternoon feel like a small celebration. Time with people we love is what we protect most. Whether it’s a simple supper or a full table, we want this home to feel easy and welcoming.
His favorite hours are spent fishing or on the golf course. I cook, I tend the house, and I try to make every room feel beautiful and lived-in. I play golf too, though I am not that great - he is patient about that. What matters is that we get to do these things side by side, in a place that still feels like a gift after all these years.
Central Georgia made us. St. Simons holds us. The dogs, the friends, the family, the meals, the quiet evenings after a day on the water or the course—this is the life we keep choosing. I am grateful for a husband who loves our home as much as I do, and for the chance to keep making it a place where people feel they belong.
The Art of Home
Artful Living with Dina is a lifestyle channel, but really it's about the art of home: the art of decorating, the art of remodeling, the art of the build. It's the whole journey of a home, from the first idea to the finished room, and the life that happens inside it.
Every week, we open the doors to real houses and the people who live in them. Families. Pets. Gatherings. The designers, builders, and creative folks who bring these spaces to life, and the art that belongs in everyday living.
How It All Began
Starting a YouTube channel had been a plan for a while, and it has evolved beautifully since we began. We tried a lot of different things before we found our footing, and when we did, it was because of the people around me: Sherry, Lauren, and Edwin, a team I love working with.
The best part has been finding people who love what we love... folks who live beautifully and want to share it. We keep growing because there's a whole community out there who believes home is worth celebrating. I'm so glad you're one of them.
The Artist in Me
I paint in watercolors and acrylics, from impressionistic and mixed media to abstract pieces. It's the artist in me that notices the details in every home we tour: the light through a window, a color that makes a room sing, the piece that makes a space feel finished.
I see beauty in everything, from the people I meet to the scenery around me. Art is how I say thank you for it. A painting shouldn't just fill a wall. It should belong there, the way a favorite chair or a well-loved room belongs.

Dina Deason's life has always been a canvas painted with the rich colors of the South. From her early childhood spent in small town Georgia to her passion in art, her path has been one of constant creative discovery and soulful expression.
